DC-3 Anti-Floating and Mottling Agent

Dow Corning DC-3 Additive from the USA: A silanol-functional (Si-OH) additive with 10% activity that promotes pigment dispersion and prevents flooding and floating. It can be used in colored and gray systems, and also provides leveling and gloss. It can be added during grinding or stirring, or supplemented after production. It can act as a pearl powder/aluminum powder alignment dispersant and matting powder alignment dispersant, contains no acid value, and improves the whiteness of pearl powder/aluminum powder.

To prevent flooding and floating, DC-3 can be used as a dispersant for inorganic pigments like titanium dioxide, with a recommended addition ratio of 2-10% relative to titanium dioxide. It is suitable for solvent-based industrial coatings, automotive coatings, and wood coatings.
