Processing Workflow
1. Design and Drawing: Based on customer requirements or product design specifications, use CAD or other drawing software to create 2D drawings of sheet metal parts, indicating dimensions, tolerances, surface treatment, and other technical requirements.
2. Blanking: Common blanking methods include shearing, blanking, and laser cutting. Shearing involves cutting plates into strips or blocks of specified sizes using a shearing machine; blanking uses punches and dies to perform operations like cutting and punching; laser cutting enables high-precision and complex-shaped blanking.
3. Bending: Use a bending machine to bend the blanked sheets. By adjusting bending dies and pressure, the sheets are bent into the desired angles and shapes.
4. Forming: For some complex-shaped sheet metal parts, processes like stamping forming and stretch forming may be required to plastically deform the sheets under the action of dies, creating specific shapes.
5. Welding: Connect various sheet metal parts through welding processes. Common welding methods include CO2 gas shielded welding and TIG welding.
6. Surface Treatment: To improve the corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and aesthetics of sheet metal parts, surface treatments such as electroplating, spraying, and oxidation are commonly applied.
7. Assembly: Assemble the surface-treated sheet metal parts with other components to form a complete product.
