Principle

Digital programs drive the movement of the machine tool. As the machine tool moves, the accompanying cutting tool cuts the object. By controlling the coordinated movement of various axes of the machine tool through the CNC system, high-precision and high-quality intersecting curves can be cut on pipe fittings, enabling the processing of intersecting bodies with various angles, eccentric intersections, and multiple pipe intersections.

Cutting Methods

- CNC flame intersecting line cutting: Capable of cutting thick carbon steel with lower cutting costs, but it has significant cutting deformation, low precision, slow speed, and long preheating and piercing times. It is mainly used for cutting carbon steel and thick plates.

- CNC plasma intersecting line cutting: Has a wide cutting range and can cut all metal pipes. It offers high speed and efficiency, with cutting speeds reaching over 10m/min. Using fine plasma cutting, the quality approaches that of laser cutting. High-power plasma cutting technology is mature, with cutting thicknesses exceeding 100mm, broadening the cutting range.

Equipment Features

Intersecting line cutting machines can cut multiple cylindrical intersecting holes in different directions and diameters on the main pipe, as well as cut cylindrical intersecting ends on branch pipe ends. They can also cut beveled ends on round pipe ends and cut welded elbows. Additionally, intersecting line cutting machines can cut variable-angle bevel surfaces, square holes, and oval holes, and can also perform pipe cutting.
