What is RTO?

RTO refers to a Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer, also known as a Regenerative Oxidation Furnace. Its full English name is "Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer," hence abbreviated as "RTO." RTO catalytic combustion equipment utilizes commonly used regenerative thermal oxidation technology and is widely applied in the purification of organic exhaust gases in industries such as chemical, coating, plastics, rubber, pharmaceuticals, printing, pesticides, and footwear manufacturing.

Working Principle of RTO Incinerator Exhaust Gas Treatment Equipment

The RTO incinerator catalytic combustion exhaust gas treatment equipment is a regenerative thermal oxidation heat recovery device. It employs a new non-steady-state heat transfer method during operation. The working principle of the RTO incinerator exhaust gas treatment equipment involves heating organic exhaust gases to above 760°C, causing the VOCs in the organic exhaust gases to be oxidized and decomposed into harmless CO₂ and H₂O.

The RTO incinerator exhaust gas treatment equipment features high thermal efficiency (up to ≥95%), low operating costs, and the ability to handle large volumes of medium to low concentration exhaust gases. When the concentration is slightly higher, secondary waste heat recovery can also be performed, significantly reducing production and operational costs.
