Greenhouse Gas Management Certification is a management system certification used to quantify, report, and verify greenhouse gas emissions at the organizational, product, or project level, aimed at assessing and reducing carbon emissions.
Certification Basis: Primarily based on international standards ISO 14064, GHG Protocol, and industry-specific standards. ISO 14064 consists of three parts: ISO 14064-1 focuses on greenhouse gas inventories, ISO 14064-2 specializes in greenhouse gas emission reduction projects, and ISO 14064-3 is specifically for the verification and validation of greenhouse gas statements by third-party organizations.
Certification Categories
: According to relevant notices from the National Certification and Accreditation Administration, certification rules directly related to carbon are divided into three categories: carbon emission reduction/removal, carbon disclosure, and carbon neutrality.
Carbon Emission Reduction/Removal Category: Product certification is used to demonstrate that the greenhouse gas emission reduction/removal effects of a product (project, technology) comply with relevant standards or technical specifications; management system certification is used to demonstrate an organization's greenhouse gas emission reduction/removal capabilities, guiding organizations to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and improve carbon management performance; service certification is used to demonstrate that the greenhouse gas emission reduction/removal capabilities of a service comply with relevant standards or technical specifications.
