Differences in ISO Three System Certifications

(1) The ISO9001 Quality Management System, ISO14001 Environmental Management System, and ISO45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System all have requirements for internal audits, but the stipulations are not entirely consistent.

(2) The regulations for internal audit timing differ. The ISO9001 Quality Management System standard requires audits at planned intervals; the ISO14001 Environmental Management System standard requires audits at scheduled intervals; the ISO45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System standard requires periodic audits of the occupational health and safety management system. Therefore, the audit cycle should be clearly defined.

(3) The requirements of the three systems vary. The quality system must meet the demands of quality management and customer satisfaction; the environmental management system must comply with the needs of numerous stakeholders, particularly regulatory requirements; the occupational health and safety management system focuses on the personal rights of employees within the organization.
