BES buffer is a branch of the Good's buffer system, which, like other Good's buffers, belongs to the category of zwitterionic buffer. From the appearance, it appears in a white powder form, with a pure white color and a delicate powder texture. Its purity is very high, reaching a value of 99%. Due to its powder form, we need to configure it as a solvent before use. BES powder is soluble in water and easy to configure, with a buffer range between pH 6.4 and 7.8. Application of BES buffer: 1. In biological experiments, it is an important pH stabilizing reagent, usually selecting appropriate weak acids and their conjugated bases to mix to obtain a suitable pH value. 2. BES used as binding buffer and eluent in cation exchange chromatography 3. Used as buffer in gel filtration chromatography; 4. In personal care and cosmetic applications, BES, as a skin exfoliator, can protect the active ingredients from degradation; 5. Used for waterborne polyurethane materials; 6. A versatile catalyst precursor for the mild hydrocarboxylation of alkanes to carboxylic acids.
