Lanzhou Ruilong High-tech New Materials Co., Ltd. is located in the Lanzhou New Area of Gansu Province. It primarily produces products such as 2-ethylanthraquinone and 2-amylanthraquinone. Established in October 2021, the company covers an area of 100,000 m² with a building area of 28,500 m². 2-Ethylanthraquinone (2-EAQ) is an important organic synthesis intermediate widely used in the production of hydrogen peroxide, vat dyes, disperse dyes, reactive dyes, and more. Currently, large-scale hydrogen peroxide manufacturers both domestically and internationally use the anthraquinone method to produce hydrogen peroxide. The output and quality of 2-ethylanthraquinone significantly impact the production of hydrogen peroxide and the development of related industries.
2-Amylanthraquinone is an upgraded auxiliary agent for hydrogen peroxide production, greatly enhancing production efficiency. As early as the 1990s, foreign countries began using 2-amylanthraquinone to produce high-concentration, high-quality hydrogen peroxide. In China, due to constraints in the supply of 2-amylanthraquinone and its application technology, production has remained reliant on the 2-ethylanthraquinone method, resulting in low-content, high-energy-consumption hydrogen peroxide. The low solubility of 2-ethylanthraquinone causes it to easily precipitate in pipelines, disrupting normal production, while excessively high hydrogenation efficiency increases the degree of anthraquinone degradation, leading to higher raw material consumption. Compared to 2-ethylanthraquinone, 2-amylanthraquinone offers higher solubility and is less prone to degradation under high hydrogenation efficiency. Therefore, its use in working fluid significantly improves hydrogenation efficiency, thereby increasing plant capacity (by 50% to 100%, depending on the plant conditions), enhancing plant safety, reducing consumption, and enabling the production of hydrogen peroxide that meets electronic-grade standards.
With the growing demand for caprolactam and propylene oxide (both requiring high-concentration hydrogen peroxide produced via the amylanthraquinone method), China has successfully developed and applied technology for producing hydrogen peroxide using the 2-amylanthraquinone method.
