Used to produce diethylene glycol ether solvents (such as diethylene glycol monomethyl ether and diethylene glycol monoethyl ether). These solvents, possessing both water solubility and oil solubility, are commonly used in coatings, inks, cleaning agents, etc.

Solvents and Additives

As a solvent, it can be used to dissolve nitrocellulose, rubber, resins, etc. It is also used as an auxiliary agent in textile dyeing to improve the solubility and permeability of dyes.

In the ink industry, it serves as a wetting agent and dispersant to enhance the fluidity and stability of inks.

Used as a finishing agent for textiles to increase the softness and luster of fabrics.

As a component of brake fluid and hydraulic oil, utilizing its characteristics of high boiling point and low freezing point to ensure fluidity at low temperatures and stability at high temperatures.

In cosmetics and personal care products, it is used as a humectant (though its application is limited due to toxicity concerns).

Used to synthesize fine chemical products such as plasticizers and lubricants.
