Skin Feel Modifiers: Low-viscosity silicone oils (e.g., 10-100 cSt) are added to products such as face creams, lotions, and shampoos to form breathable films, reduce stickiness, and impart a smooth feel to the skin/hair (e.g., the smoothing ingredients in "silicone shampoos").

Moisturizing and Protection: High-viscosity silicone oils (e.g., 1000-10000 cSt) are used in lipsticks and sunscreens to block moisture evaporation while resisting external pollutants (chemical inertness).

Makeup Bases: Used as dispersants for foundations and eyeshadows to improve spreadability and sweat resistance (hydrophobic properties).

2. Pharmaceuticals and Medical

Antifoaming Agents: Used orally or in endoscopy (e.g., gastroscopy, colonoscopy); low surface tension is utilized to rupture bubble films, eliminating foam in the gastrointestinal tract to clearly display lesions (pharmacopeia-grade silicone oil complies with USP/NF standards).

Medical Excipients: Used as bases for ointments and creams (e.g., burn ointments), providing lubrication, isolation (preventing wound adhesion), and sustained drug release.

Medical Devices: Used as lubricants for catheters and syringes to reduce mucosal damage; used as coatings for intraocular lenses and contact lenses to improve biocompatibility.

3. Mechanical and Industrial

High-Temperature Lubricants: Used for bearing lubrication in automobiles and motors (stable operation from -40℃ to 200℃), especially suitable for high-temperature equipment (e.g., ovens, boilers).

Release Agents: Used as release agents during the molding of rubber, plastic, and concrete products; due to their non-stick properties, they are reusable and do not contaminate the product surface.

Softening Finishes: Fabrics (cotton, synthetic fibers) are soaked or sprayed to form a film, reducing fiber friction, making the fabric smoother and wrinkle-resistant (e.g., "non-iron" shirt treatment).

Leather Finishing: Improves the gloss and abrasion resistance of leather while maintaining breathability (gaps between silicone oil molecules allow gas to pass through).

5. Food Industry

Food-Grade Antifoaming Agents: Eliminate foam in sugar production, brewing, and soy product processing (complying with GB 2760 standards, addition amount ≤0.05%), without affecting food flavor (odorless, non-toxic);

Food Mold Release: Used for chocolate and candy molds to avoid sticking and facilitate easy cleaning.
