　　Main Uses

　　Pharmaceutical Field: As a pharmaceutical excipient, due to its high molecular weight and good sustained-release properties, it is commonly used as a carrier for sustained-release preparations (such as microspheres, matrix tablets) to prolong the drug's action time; it can also be used as a suppository base (requires mixing with low molecular weight PEG to adjust hardness), or to increase viscosity in ointments.

　　Cosmetics and Daily Chemicals: Used in skin care products, conditioners, etc., as a viscosity modifier and humectant to enhance the product's body and stability, and reduce moisture loss.

　　Industrial Field: Used as a thickener or film-forming aid in coatings and adhesives to improve the mechanical strength of the coating; in polymer material processing (such as plastics, rubber), used as a lubricant or release agent to improve processing performance; can also be used as a dispersant in ceramics and metal processing to improve particle dispersion stability.
