n-Butane

　　Main Uses

　　Fuel Sector:

　　It is one of the main components of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) (mixed with propane), used for household cooking, heating, outdoor grilling, etc., featuring high combustion efficiency and low pollution.

　　As a vehicle fuel, it can be mixed with gasoline or used alone as an internal combustion engine fuel (e.g., LPG vehicles), reducing harmful substance emissions in exhaust gas.

　　Used as fuel for small combustion devices such as lighters and torches.

　　Chemical Raw Materials:

　　High-temperature cracking to produce ethylene and propylene (important basic chemical raw materials used for synthesizing plastics, rubber, etc.).

　　Catalytic dehydrogenation to produce 1-butene (used for synthesizing butadiene, polybutene, etc.).

　　Used as a solvent for extraction and organic synthesis reactions, or as a standard gas for chromatographic analysis.

　　Other Applications:

　　Used as a refrigerant (e.g., R600) to replace Freon; it has no destructive effect on the ozone layer and is an environmentally friendly refrigerant. In laboratories, it is used as a refrigerant for low-temperature baths (liquid n-butane evaporation can provide a low-temperature environment).
