Main Uses

Agricultural Sector:

As nitrogen fertilizer: Contains about 21% nitrogen, one of the earliest nitrogen fertilizers used, suitable for various soils and crops (especially sulfur-loving crops such as potatoes, legumes, etc.), capable of promoting the growth of plant stems and leaves.

Note: Long-term use may lead to soil acidification; it needs to be combined with lime for adjustment.

Industrial Sector:

Used in the manufacture of compound fertilizers, potassium sulfate, ammonium persulfate, and other chemical products.

In the textile industry, used as a dyeing auxiliary to improve the dye uptake rate.

In the food industry, used as a dough conditioner and yeast nutrient (must meet food-grade standards).

In the electroplating industry, used as an additive for electroplating solutions; in the pharmaceutical industry, used in the preparation of diuretics, etc.

Other Uses:

As a precipitant in analytical chemistry (e.g., for the determination of barium ions).

Used for tanning in the leather industry.
