　　Main Uses:

　　Preservative Synergist: A common ingredient in "additive-free" or "mild formulas." When combined with phenoxyethanol, ethylhexylglycerin, etc., it enhances the efficacy of the preservative system, reduces the required concentration of traditional preservatives, and minimizes irritation. Widely used in products such as face creams, lotions, serums, masks, shampoos, and body washes.

　　Humectant: Assists in improving the moisturizing performance of products, making it particularly suitable for skincare products intended for dry skin. It also improves the skin feel of the product (e.g., reducing stickiness and increasing a refreshing sensation).

　　Solvent and Co-emulsifier: Helps dissolve lipid-soluble active ingredients (such as plant extracts and vitamins) and assists in stabilizing the emulsion system, enhancing the uniformity and stability of the product.

　　Pharmaceutical Field

　　Used as a humectant or solvent in some topical preparations (such as ointments, gels, and lotions), while also assisting in inhibiting microbial contamination and enhancing the stability of the preparation.
