Main Uses

Solvent Applications:

Coatings and Ink Industry: Used as a solvent or diluent for nitrocellulose lacquers, acrylic paints, polyurethane paints, etc. It can improve the leveling, drying speed, and film gloss of coatings, and has strong solvency for resins, capable of reducing the viscosity of the coating system.

Cleaning Agents Field: Used for cleaning precision instruments and electronic components, effectively removing grease, resin residues, and fluxes, with no residue after evaporation.

Adhesives Industry: Used as a solvent to adjust the consistency of adhesives, improving coating performance and bonding strength.

Chemical Synthesis:

As an intermediate in organic synthesis, it can participate in transesterification and condensation reactions for the preparation of fine chemicals such as pharmaceuticals and fragrances; it can also serve as a reaction solvent. Due to its low sensitivity to acids, it is suitable for reactions under certain acidic conditions.
