　　Solvent: Widely used in fields such as paints, inks, adhesives, and cleaning agents. It is capable of dissolving various organic substances and helps regulate the viscosity and drying speed of coatings and inks, ensuring products possess excellent coating properties and appearance quality.

　　Organic synthesis raw material: An important raw material for synthesizing certain polymers and resins, used in the production of materials such as fibers, coatings, and plastics. For example, polystyrene resin can be prepared through polymerization reactions, and the properties of polymers can be improved through copolymerization with other monomers.

　　Pharmaceutical field: Used in the production of certain pharmaceutical intermediates, which are subsequently used to synthesize various drugs.

　　Other applications: Para-diethylbenzene serves as a backflushing agent for the adsorption beds of purified terephthalic acid (PTA), a raw material for polyester; divinylbenzene obtained from the dehydrogenation of diethylbenzene is a crosslinking agent for polystyrene resin and is also used as an intermediate for ion exchange resins and other organic syntheses; it can also function as a desorbent, playing a role in certain separation processes.
