　　Main Applications

　　Coatings and Ink Industry

　　As a solvent or diluent, widely used in coatings such as alkyd resins, acrylic resins, and epoxy resins, as well as printing inks (e.g., offset inks, plastic inks);

　　Advantages: Moderate evaporation rate, improves the flow leveling, gloss, and adhesion of coatings, and has strong solvency for resins, reducing coating stratification or sedimentation.

　　Chemical and Pharmaceutical Fields

　　As an extractant, used for separating rare metals (e.g., niobium, tantalum) or extracting organic substances from aqueous solutions (e.g., antibiotics, fragrances);

　　As an intermediate in organic synthesis, used in the production of rubber antioxidants, insecticides, dyes, etc., and can also be hydrogenated to produce methyl isobutyl carbinol (a solvent).

　　Industrial Cleaning and Degreasing

　　Used for cleaning oil stains, resin residues, or coating stains on metal surfaces, especially suitable for degreasing precision instruments (e.g., electronic components, mechanical parts) due to its strong solvency, high volatility, and low residue.

　　Other Applications

　　As a solvent in adhesives to regulate viscosity and drying speed;

　　Used as an extractant in the ore beneficiation process to separate metal ions;

　　As a fuel additive to improve fuel stability and combustion efficiency.
