| Physicochemical Properties | Orange needle-like crystals. No melting point, carbonizes at 250°C. Stable to visible light, activity decreases under UV light; acid and alkali accelerate oxidative hydrolysis. Specific rotation [α]25D +23° (0.5%, 0.1mol/L NaOH solution). The 0.1mol/L NaOH solution of this product has maximum absorption at wavelengths of 256nm, 283nm, and 365nm. Insoluble in water, ethanol, and chloroform; slightly soluble in methanol; soluble in acetic acid, pyridine, alkali hydroxide, and alkali carbonate solutions. LD50 (rat, intravenous) 500 mg/kg. |
