Main Uses: Hexamethyldisilazane (HMDS) is an important organosilicon compound with wide applications in the fields of organosilicon chemistry and organic synthesis. Hexamethyldisilazane is not only a key raw material for the synthesis of hexamethyldisilurea (BSU), but also a commonly used silylating reagent in organic synthesis, possessing significant industrial utilization value. In organosilazane chemistry, it can be used for chlorine exchange with chlorosilane monomers to obtain polysilazanes; this method has huge advantages in synthesis compared to the direct ammonia method. In the semiconductor industry, it is used as an adhesion promoter for photoresists. In the pharmaceutical industry, hexamethyldisilazane is used in the synthesis processes of Amikacin, Penicillin, Cephalosporins, etc.
