Properties

Solubility: Extremely low water solubility (only 3mg/L at 20℃), easily soluble in organic solvents such as acetone, benzene and methanol; sensitive to humidity, will slowly hydrolyze when exposed to water to form silanol and condensed resins.

Stability: Stable at room temperature, avoid strong acids and alkalis, moisture for long-term storage.

Reactivity: Good thermal stability, resistant to high and low temperatures, high refractive index, can undergo hydrolysis condensation and react with hydroxyl/alkoxy groups; the phenyl group imparts heat resistance, weather resistance and high refractive index; the methoxy group provides crosslinking modification activity.

Applications

1. Coatings and surface treatment: Polymer wetting agent, which enhances adhesion and improves surface properties of materials.

2. Silicone resins: Used to produce heat-resistant silicone resins, act as plasticizers for polymer matrices, and improve the thermal stability and mechanical properties of polymers.

3. Organic synthesis: Used to synthesize photosensitizers, as intermediates for synthesizing phenylsilanol and cyclophenylsiloxanes, which are applied in drug synthesis.

4. Rubber and plastic modification: Improve the heat resistance, cold resistance and mechanical strength of products.

5. Modifier: Used in lubricants to improve the friction properties of certain high-temperature materials.

Packaging/Storage and Transportation

1. Packed in 200L iron drums.

2. Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse, away from fire and heat sources, sealed, protected from light and moisture.

3. Transportation: Not classified as Class 3 flammable hazardous chemicals, can be transported as general fine chemical products. Protect from rain and keep away from fire sources.
