Properties

Solubility: Insoluble in water and cold concentrated H₂SO₄,

soluble in most organic solvents such as C₄H₁₀O and chloroform.

Stability: Stable under normal temperature and pressure, will not be decomposed by concentrated

H₂SO₄ or strong alkali, and starts to decompose at high temperature (660～

720℃).

Reactivity: Functional groups can be introduced through substitution reactions, which is used in organic synthesis.

Applications

1. Nuclear magnetic resonance reagent:

Used as a reference substance for chemical shift with stable signal.

2. Electronic industry:

High-purity electronic chemical products used in the manufacturing of silicon-based chips and silicon carbide chips.
