Properties

Reacts violently with water and air: It reacts instantly with water, releasing flammable gases and a large amount of heat. Meanwhile, it is extremely sensitive to air.

Flammable: In humid air, due to the intense exothermic reaction, flammable gases are released, and it is extremely easy to catch fire and explode when exposed to open flames, high heat or oxidants.

Stability: It needs to be stored and used at low temperatures, usually operated in an environment below 5°C.

Applications

1. Strong alkaline reagent: Commonly used in aldol condensation, enolization reactions and silylation protection.

2. Pharmaceutical synthesis: Plays a key role in the synthesis of pharmaceutical intermediates such as antibiotics and antitumor drugs.

3. Organic synthesis: Used for polymer material modification and the synthesis of lithium battery electrolyte additives.

Packaging/Storage

1. Packaged in 500ml bottles; 50L and 200L steel drums.

2. During use, this product should be isolated from air and moisture to the greatest extent, sealed and stored in a dry environment below 5°C, and used under the protection of nitrogen or argon.

3. Avoid high temperature and impact, do not touch open flames, do not allow contact with air and water, and store at low temperatures.
