Overview:
The stem axis of a stop valve is perpendicular to the sealing surface of the valve seat. The opening or closing stroke of the stem is relatively short, and it has extremely reliable shut-off action, making this type of valve highly suitable for medium shut-off, regulation, and throttling applications.
Once the disc of a stop valve is in the open position, there is no longer contact between the valve seat and the disc sealing surface. It also has extremely reliable shut-off action, making this type of valve highly suitable for medium shut-off, regulation, and throttling applications.
Once a stop valve is in the open position, there is no contact between its valve seat and disc sealing surface, so the mechanical wear on its sealing surfaces is minimal. Since most stop valve seats and discs are relatively easy to repair or replace, the sealing components do not need to be removed from the entire valve from the pipeline, which is very suitable for occasions where the valve is welded integrally with the pipeline. The flow direction of the medium changes when passing through this type of valve, so the flow resistance of a stop valve is higher than that of other valves.
Structure features and usages:
1. When fully closed, the handwheel rotates clockwise;
2. Can be installed at any position on the pipeline, with the medium flowing from bottom to top;
3. Stainless steel stop valves are suitable for pipelines carrying various corrosive media, with good corrosion resistance and sufficient strength;
4. Alloy steel stop valves are suitable for high-temperature steam and oil product pipelines, with high-temperature resistance characteristics.
