2. Product Overview

Cable Tracing and Fault Locator

When constructing above ground in cities with buried cables, accidents are prone to occur without a cable monitoring tool. To address this, the TLKS-PMG-CPD Cable Tracing and Fault Locator launched by Telink Technology is an underground cable detection device specially designed for urban underground pipeline engineering. This advanced technical tool adopts the high-frequency signal tracking principle, enabling accurate detection and mapping of the exact location, depth and direction of underground cables. It is also easy to operate: when the handheld device passes over the construction area, if the presence of a cable is detected, it will be displayed on the screen. This not only ensures construction safety, but also greatly improves work efficiency, serving as an important equipment for enhancing the accuracy of underground pipeline network management.

3. Working Principle

The TLKS-PMG-CPD Cable Tracing and Fault Locator uses high-frequency signal tracking technology to accurately detect both active and inactive cables. For energized cables, the device can capture frequency changes generated by the cable itself or external signal sources, and determine the cable location by intelligently processing and analyzing changes in signal strength. For de-energized cables, a signal clamp and signal generator are used to inject a specific frequency signal into the cable, which is then received and analyzed by the detector to achieve precise positioning.

4. Device Functions

1. Improve and update cable pipeline data: The device can detect the location, burial depth and direction of cables;

2. Prevent damage to cables caused by construction: At construction sites, it can detect the location, burial depth and direction of cables, and delimit the construction area to avoid accidental damage to cables due to unclear cable routes.

3. Locate a specific cable among multiple cables: When multiple cables are laid simultaneously, the location, direction and burial depth of a specific cable can be identified as needed, unaffected by other cables.

5. Device Composition

1. Cable Pipeline Detector: Used to detect the location, burial depth and direction of cables;

2. Signal Generator: Used to apply a fixed-frequency signal to the cable;

3. Inductive Signal Clamp: Applies the required frequency signal to the cable body through induction.

6. Technical Parameters

1. Working Voltage: 5~6V

2. Detection Frequency: 50Hz~33KHz

3. Detection Depth: 5~7 meters

4. Battery Life: Can operate for 12~24 hours with alkaline batteries
