It loses bound water and turns into calcium oxide at 580°C. It will react with carbon dioxide in the air to form calcium carbonate. It is soluble in acids, slightly soluble in water, and insoluble in alcohols. 4. Characteristics: High activity, loose structure, high purity (up to analytical reagent grade), good whiteness, fine particle size and low impurity content.
