Main Uses
Chemical Intermediate: Used for the synthesis of important chemicals such as acrylic acid, methionine (feed additive), glutaraldehyde (disinfectant), and 1,3-propanediol.
Polymer Field: Undergoes self-polymerization or copolymerization with other monomers (such as acrylonitrile); the resulting polymers are used in coatings, adhesives, plastics, etc.
Agriculture and Medicine: Can be used as a component in fumigants and herbicides, and also for the synthesis of certain pharmaceutical intermediates.
Others: Used as a bactericide for oilfield water injection, or as a cross-linking agent, reducing agent, etc., in organic synthesis.
