Application Fields

Daily Chemicals: It is a basic raw material for manufacturing soap, shampoo, and shower gel. Its sodium salt has excellent foaming and cleaning properties. Esters synthesized from myristic acid and other alcohols can be used as cosmetic emulsifiers to improve the spreadability and moisturizing properties of products.

Food Industry: It can be used as a release agent and flavor carrier. In chocolate processing, it helps regulate the crystallization speed and improve mouthfeel.

Pharmaceutical Field: In pharmaceuticals, it is used as a tablet lubricant or sustained-release agent, such as the coating material for certain antibiotic capsules. Studies show that myristic acid has inhibitory effects on some bacteria and fungi and can be used in topical antibacterial preparations.

Industrial Field: In metal processing, its derivatives can be used as rust inhibitors; in the plastics industry, calcium myristate, generated by the reaction of myristic acid with calcium salt, can be used as a PVC stabilizer to enhance the heat resistance of the material.
