Upon reviewing the origin of the name "womb chair" again, to explain its origin, we have to mention its design requirements. It is said that Florence Knoll asked Eero Saarinen to design a chair that one could curl up in completely, a chair like a basket filled with pillows (doesn’t it remind you of Le Corbusier’s LC series, LC2 SOFA and LC3 SOFA?). Undoubtedly, the classic Womb Chair has fulfilled this design intention: it supports various sitting and reclining positions, providing a harbor for full relaxation.
A tribute to the classic — Womb Chair, a timeless classic lounge chair.
