Daily maintenance points for cathode and anode rapping hammers
Key Points for Daily Maintenance of Cathode and Anode Rapping Hammers
1. Regular Inspection: Every 3 months, open the access door of the dust collector to check the wear condition of the hammer head, whether the connection between the hammer body and the rapping shaft is firm, and whether the anvil iron is offset. Handle problems in a timely manner once found.
2. Cleaning and Lubrication: Remove dust accumulation on the surface of the hammer body and rapping shaft. Apply high-temperature grease (suitable for the environment of 80-150℃ in the dust collector) to the mating part of the shaft sleeve and rapping shaft to reduce wear.

3. Balance Adjustment: If the rapping shaft has obvious vibration, check whether the installation position of the rapping hammer is symmetrical. Adjust the distribution of the hammer body if necessary to ensure the balance of the shaft system.
4. Spare Parts Replacement: Spare wear parts such as hammer heads, keys, and shaft sleeves must be consistent with the original model. Ensure that the hammer head is aligned with the anvil iron (deviation ≤2mm) during replacement to avoid damage caused by eccentric impact.

Application Scenarios and Special Designs The design of cathode (anode) rapping hammers needs to adapt to the dust characteristics of different industries. Common special designs are as follows: • High-temperature working conditions: For high-temperature flue gas (200-300℃) in the steel and cement industries, the rapping hammer is made of heat-resistant steel (such as 304 stainless steel, 1Cr18Ni9Ti) to avoid deformation and failure at high temperatures. • High-corrosion working conditions: For corrosive flue gas in the chemical and waste incineration industries, the rapping hammer is made of corrosion-resistant materials (such as Hastelloy alloy, FRP) or subjected to surface anti-corrosion treatment (such as galvanizing, powder coating). • Ultra-fine dust working conditions: For ultra-fine dust such as fly ash in the power industry, "high-frequency low-force" rapping hammers (small mass, high frequency) are used to avoid secondary dust raising caused by excessive rapping. Summary Although cathode (anode) rapping hammers are mechanical structural parts, they are the core guarantee for the "dust cleaning efficiency" of electrostatic precipitators. Cathode rapping needs to take into account "dust cleaning effect" and "pole line protection", while anode rapping needs to ensure "sufficient force" and "uniform transmission". In practical applications, precise selection, standard installation and regular maintenance are required to ensure the long-term stable operation of the rapping hammer, thereby maintaining the high-efficiency dust removal performance of the dust collector.
