Die-casting demolding agent is a water-based substance used between molds and finished products, which mainly prevents products from sticking to molds and serves as a type of production auxiliary to facilitate demolding. Demolding agents are mainly divided into three categories: inorganic substances, organic substances, and polymers. Inorganic demolding agents, such as compounds mainly composed of talcum powder, mica powder, kaolin, and white clay, are mainly used as demolding agents for preventing adhesion of rubber sheets and semi-finished products in rubber processing. Demolding agents usually come in powder, semi-solid, and liquid forms. Powder and semi-solid demolding agents can be applied to the mold surface with a brush or by hand like wax. Liquid demolding agents can be applied to the mold surface using tools such as sprayers or brushes to form a release film. Liquid demolding agents are mainly applied by spraying, and most of them are packaged in metal spray cans. Die-casting machines use water-based spray-type demolding agents. Due to the good sealing performance of metal spray cans, oxidation or impurity mixing of the demolding agent can be avoided, ensuring the purity of the demolding agent when leaving the factory. Large injection molding equipment is installed indoors, where the ambient temperature changes little, so it has no impact on the use of spray-type demolding agents.
In the selection of demolding agents, economy is an important factor that cannot be ignored. Low-quality demolding agents will cause cracking and wrinkling on the product surface, affect the product appearance and the service life of the mold, and bring environmental pollution. Choosing high-quality spray-type demolding agents has a higher price, but the comprehensive economic benefit is high. To prevent environmental pollution, demolding agents that are not easy to burn and have low odor and toxicity should be selected.

1. It must have heat resistance and will not carbonize or decompose when heated.
2. It will not affect the secondary processing performance of die-casting.
3. It has excellent demolding performance; for spray-type demolding agents, the surface tension should be between 17 and 23 N/m.
4. It has stable chemical properties and will not undergo chemical reactions with the molded products.
5. It will not corrode molds, will not pollute products, and has low odor and toxicity.
