Albright & Wilson (Australia) Limited (AWAL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of PT Unggul Indah Cahaya Tbk (UIC).

The Company is a major producer of phosphoric acid, technical and food grade phosphates and polyphosphates, as well as a comprehensive range of surfactants, detergent raw materials and concrete additives. These products find application in such industry groups as personal care, pharmaceuticals, crop care, building and water treatment.

AWAL has two operational sites in Australia: the phosphates range of products are manufactured at Yarraville (Victoria) and the Surfactants range at Wetherill Park (New South Wales). Both sites are ISO 9001 accredited. The Company has a long history of serving the Australian chemical industry as it has been producing phosphates since 1940 and surfactants since 1958.

UIC is the sole producer of alkylbenzenes in Indonesia and has the largest, single production site for this product range in the world. Alkylbenzenes are the active ingredients for detergent products. UIC Vietnam Co., Ltd, its 100% owned subsidiary, manufactures linear alkylbenzene sulphonic acid (LABSA), sodium lauryl sulphate (SLS) and sodium lauryl ethoxysulphate (SLES) for use in the shampoo and pharmaceutical industries. In addition, the company has a majority interest in PT Petrocentral, the sole Indonesian-based producer of sodium tripolyphosphate. UIC shares are traded on the Jakarta and Surabaya Stock Exchanges.

Albright & Wilson New Zealand Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Albright & Wilson (Australia) Limited, operates as a trading office from Auckland, providing sales, marketing and warehousing facilities for New Zealand.
