Wintergreen oil

Methyl salicylate, methyl salicylate. Holly (scientific name: Ilex chinensis) [2], also known as unfrozen purple, top tree seed, frozen river wood, Guanyin tea, etc. [1], is an evergreen tree [2] of the genus Ilex [3] in the family Aquifoliaceae. The bark of the holly tree is gray-black; the leaves are elliptical or lanceolate, rarely ovate; the compound cymes are solitary in the leaf axils; the flowers are pale purple or purplish-red; the calyx lobes are broadly triangular; the petals are ovate; the fruit is elongated spherical, turning red when ripe.
