FTWY-50 Displacement Sensor
I. Product Introduction:
The measuring element is a waveguide tube, inside which the sensitive component is made of special magnetostrictive material. The measurement process begins with the generation of a current pulse in the sensor's electronic chamber. This current pulse travels along the waveguide tube, creating a circumferential magnetic field around it. When this magnetic field interacts with the magnetic field produced by the movable magnetic ring, which is mounted on the waveguide tube and changes position, it causes a magnetostrictive effect in the waveguide tube, generating a strain pulse. The position of the movable magnetic ring is determined based on this strain pulse.
II. Product Features:
Features a surface anodized housing for corrosion resistance. Equipped with an imported waveguide wire as the measurement unit, processed by DSP digital signal processing for high accuracy, no temperature drift, and non-contact operation. It has a lifespan of up to twenty years. The sliding rod ball head has an automatic centering function for easy installation, with a maximum allowable movement speed of 10m/s.

IV. Working Principle:
The FTWY-50 digital displacement sensor uses a retractable measuring rod that, when the measured object moves, drives samarium-cobalt alloy material to move within a fixed Hall chip. The Hall effect is utilized to output a voltage signal. This signal is directly sampled by a 16-bit microcontroller, converted into a digital signal, and then nonlinearly encoded for position. Finally, the displacement digital quantity is directly output in RS485 standard.
