 • Structure and Working Principle: The ball valve is typically installed on the coal gun connecting pipe and contains a ball inside. When the injection pressure exceeds the furnace pressure, pulverized coal is transported normally, and the ball is lifted by the airflow, opening the valve. However, if the connecting pipe cracks or breaks, causing the furnace pressure to exceed the injection pressure, the ball in the valve automatically drops due to the change in pressure, effectively and promptly isolating the injection system from the blast furnace, thereby preventing backfire incidents. 

• Material and Performance Characteristics: The steel plant ball valve is generally made of carbon steel, offering excellent air tightness and pressure resistance. Its nominal pressure is 0.6MPa, shell test pressure is 0.9MPa, seal test pressure is 0.66MPa, and it is suitable for temperatures ≤350°C, effectively preventing gas leakage and withstanding the pressure of the blast furnace pulverized coal injection system. Additionally, the ball valve is available in various specifications, including DN20, DN25, DN32, DN40, etc., to meet different requirements.

• Application Scenarios: The ball valve is widely used in steel plant pulverized coal transportation systems and is one of the key equipment ensuring the safe and stable operation of the blast furnace pulverized coal injection system.
