Pulverized Coal Lance

      Pulverized coal lance may experience the following issues during use: 1. The defective area is clearly formed from the inside out, with signs of erosion. This is mainly due to quality issues with the lance barrel, such as cracks or folds. If the barrel is welded and the defect is around the weld, it may be caused by welding defects like misalignment, internal weld nodules, or inherent weld flaws. 2. "Flowering" at the head: This occurs at the front end of the lance, where pulverized coal is visibly scattered at the nozzle.

       This situation is mostly caused by inserting the lance too deeply. The insertion position is determined by the tuyere, straight blowpipe structure, lance design, and furnace conditions. Inserting too deep can cause the lance head to burn and "flower," while inserting too shallow may lead to erosion and damage to the tuyere nozzle. Therefore, a reasonable insertion position must be chosen. Additionally, the selection of materials for the lance barrel, especially the head, is crucial. Higher resistance to high-temperature oxidation extends the lance's service life. The occurrence of the above issues can affect the lance's lifespan and performance. Hence, attention must be paid to preventing and resolving these problems during use. When the material's wear resistance is better, under the same operating conditions, defects may appear later or even not manifest within one cycle. This phenomenon is known as fatigue damage.
