The hot plate machine welds plastic components through a temperature-controlled heating plate. During welding, the heating plate device is placed between two plastic parts. When the workpieces are pressed against the heating plate, the plastic begins to melt. After a preheating period, the material reaches a molten state under the heating element, and the two plastic parts are pressed together under a certain pressure for a short time. Through molecular movement, they fuse into one piece. After a certain cooling time, the two plastic parts are fully merged, achieving a certain welding strength, thus realizing the welding function. Based on the driving source, it can be divided into pneumatic, servo, and hydraulic types, with pneumatic being the most common. According to the structure of the equipment, it can be classified into vertical hot plate machines and horizontal hot plate machines.

Application of hot plate machines: This equipment uses the principle of hot plate welding machines to reliably weld plastic products, such as steam irons, automotive plastic water tank welding, automotive brake fluid cup welding, plastic tank welding, automotive taillight welding, and other irregular plastic product welding.
Welding process:
Place the lower plastic part → Lower fixture clamps → Place the upper plastic part → Upper fixture clamps → Press the start button → Heating plate advances → Upper and lower pressure plates move (simultaneously relative motion) → Heating → Upper pressure plate rises, lower pressure plate descends → Heating plate retracts → Upper pressure plate descends, lower pressure plate rises → Bonding → Upper fixture releases → Upper pressure plate rises, lower pressure plate descends → Lower fixture releases → Remove the product.
Welding program: The entire machine action system controls the welding body to the required position → Upper cold mold automatically loads → Internal action of the welding body begins → Completes the first plastic part welding → The entire machine action system moves the welding body to the next welding position → Proceeds to the next welding cycle.
Operation process: First, manually place the large plastic part into the lower cold mold on the machine worktable and secure it. Simultaneously, arrange the two upper plastic parts (small hooks) neatly into the two loading slots on the machine worktable, allowing batch placement. Then start the equipment, which will automatically complete all welding points. Finally, manually remove the welded workpiece from the machine worktable and proceed to the next cycle.
Structure of automotive hot plate welding machines:
The hot plate movement mechanism consists of a cylinder, slider guide rails, and a hot plate. The cylinder serves as the power source, driving the hot plate mechanism to move back and forth along two slider guide rails.
Hot plate components: Consist of the heating mold and heating plate. The heating mold and heating plate are connected to the hot plate movement mechanism via a quick positioning and fastening mechanism. The upper and lower heating molds are made of aluminum-copper alloy.
The structural feature is: The hot plate moves smoothly with minimal movement clearance. The hot plate mechanism includes the heating plate, upper and lower heating molds, and a quick connection mechanism for fixing the heating molds, enabling efficient and rapid replacement of different products, optimizing its application range, and improving production efficiency.
Upper and lower template operation mechanism:
The upper and lower templates are connected to the hot plate via four limit guide rods, allowing precise adjustment of the welding depth, collectively forming the main moving components of the equipment.
Upper template movement mechanism:
The upper pressure plate movement mechanism consists of a cylinder, linear bearings, four φ30 guide columns, molds, mold pneumatic clamping devices, and vacuum suction cups. The cylinder serves as the power source, driving the pressure plate mechanism to move up and down along the four guide columns. The vacuum system uses imported vacuum generators to output vacuum pressure, securely holding the plastic parts via vacuum suction cups to ensure correct positioning without damaging the surface of the plastic parts.
