The welding table is a cast iron plate used for workpiece welding, with a working surface that is either flat or T-slot. The T-slot can be used to fix workpieces. Generally, as long as the welding table is used and stored correctly, its service life is very long. The accuracy of the working surface can be maintained for more than two years. When the accuracy decreases, it can be restored through debugging or scraping processes. The service life of the welding table itself can reach 50-100 years. Therefore, during the use of the cast iron welding table, it is important to avoid using or storing it in damp, corrosive, excessively high, or low-temperature environments to extend its service life and ensure work quality. To prevent harmful deformation of the welding plate, when installing the plate, supports should be placed at the main support points. During support, try to adjust the working surface of the plate to a horizontal plane.
After inspection or marking is completed, the workpiece should be lifted off and not left on the plate for a long time. After use, promptly wipe the working surface of the plate clean and apply a layer of anti-rust oil. If it will not be used for a relatively long time, it is best to apply a layer of butter and then cover it with a sheet of white paper. It is recommended to use a specially made wooden cover. When not in use, cover the plate with the cover, and strictly avoid water droplets on the welding table.
