Beizhong Company's assembly platform, also known as a fitter assembly platform, product aliases: assembly platform, assembly plate, precision assembly platform, cast iron assembly platform, is mainly used for the assembly and debugging of power mechanical equipment and fixing workpieces. The surface is equipped with T-slots to secure power mechanical equipment. Larger assembly platforms can be assembled for use.
Assembly platforms are widely used in machining, tool workshops, machine (inspection) repair workshops, large equipment bases, precision machining inspection, measurement, and grinding of metrology machines. They have precise measurement levels for inspecting the flatness, straightness, and angular tolerance values of workpieces.
Assembly Platform Operation Method
Generally, the service life of cast iron assembly platforms is very long. As long as the correct methods are used for operation and storage, the accuracy of the cast iron assembly platform's working surface can be maintained for over two years. When the accuracy of the cast iron assembly platform decreases, it can be restored through adjustment or scraping processes. The service life of the cast iron assembly platform itself can reach 50-100 years. Therefore, to extend the life of the cast iron assembly platform and ensure work quality, pay attention to the following:
1. During the use of the cast iron assembly platform, avoid using or storing it in humid, corrosive, excessively high, or low-temperature environments. 2. After use, the cast iron assembly platform should be cleaned and rust-proofed.
Technical Requirements for Cast Iron Assembly Platforms
1. The working surface of the assembly plate must not have defects such as sand holes, blowholes, cracks, slag inclusions, shrinkage porosity, scratches, bumps, or rust spots that seriously affect appearance and performance. 2. The casting surface of the assembly plate should be cleaned of molding sand and be flat, with firmly applied paint. 3. For plates with accuracy grades 0 to 3, sand holes with a diameter of less than 15mm are allowed to be plugged with the same material, and their hardness should be lower than that of the surrounding material. The number of plugged sand holes on the working surface should not exceed 4, and the spacing between sand holes should be no less than 80mm. 4. The assembly plate should be made of high-quality, fine-grained gray cast iron or alloy materials, with a working surface hardness of 170-240 HB. 5. The working surface of the assembly plate should generally be processed by scraping. For grade 3 plates processed by scraping, the maximum allowable surface roughness Ra value is 5μm. 6. Scraping processes should be inspected by color matching.
The production process of the assembly platform is basically as follows:
1. Assembly platform blank: Create drawings according to technical requirements, make wooden patterns based on the drawings, prepare materials, mold, dry, pour, shake out, clean, and inspect various parts of the blank. 2. Assembly platform machining: Inspect the appearance and mark, secure the workpiece on the machine tool, process, inspect, and temper. 3. Place the assembly platform on the machine tool, process according to drawing requirements, and send it to the inspection department for inspection. 4. Perform appearance treatment, spray paint, package, and store the assembly platform.
Assembly Platform Inspection Process
The assembly platform is an indispensable workbench for layout, measurement, riveting, welding, and tooling processes, and can also be used as a mechanical test platform, etc. The production design of the assembly platform adopts box-type, rib-plate, or other structural forms. On the relative sides of the assembly plate, there should be provisions for installing handles or lifting positions, threaded holes, or cylindrical holes. After inspection and compliance with standard requirements, the assembly plate should come with a product qualification certificate; the product qualification certificate should include the standard number and product serial number.
From the entire inspection process of the assembly platform, the plate itself serves as the measurement reference surface, and its placement should be stable. When using an autocollimator for inspection, the instrument and the plate are not on the same rigid body. The stability of the instrument support is particularly important. Therefore, the inspection regulations for assembly platforms require that the inspection site be firm and stable, and the inspection location should avoid vibration. This is because factories often place small plates on fitter benches or tables, which lack firm stability. The movement of inspectors near the assembly platform and the movement of inspection tools on the assembly platform will generate varying gravitational forces, causing changes in the spatial position of the assembly plate and making measurement results unreliable. Therefore, when inspecting such plates, they should be moved to a firm and stable site to avoid the impact of gravitational changes on measurement results.
The material of the assembly platform is high-strength cast iron HT200-300, with a working surface hardness of HB170-240. After two artificial treatments (artificial annealing at 600-700 degrees and natural aging for 2-3 years), the product's accuracy is stable, and its wear resistance is excellent. When there are discrepancies between national standards, enterprise standards, and the usage requirements of assembly plates, special designs can be made based on the actual needs for assembly plates. The design concept of assembly plates should aim to achieve the best usage effect at the lowest cost, while also ensuring mutual benefits for both production and use parties. Assembly platforms are typically rectangular or square in shape. National standards also specify circular and ring-shaped platforms, but circular and ring-shaped assembly platforms need to be custom-made by users. The accuracy of assembly platforms follows the national standard metrology verification regulations, divided into four grades: 0, 1, 2, and 3. Assembly platforms are packaged in wooden cases, with the surface sealed in plastic film. This packaging is suitable for inland transportation of plates and includes good moisture-proof, shock-proof, and rust-proof measures to ensure safe delivery to the site.
