Dichloroacetyl chloride

Chinese and English name: Dichloroacetyl chloride, Chlorodichloroacetyl; Dichloroacetylchlorine

Physical and chemical properties: Colorless transparent, easily flowing liquid with a strong irritating odor. Boiling point (0.1MPa) 107-110°C, density (20/4°C) 1.532, refractive index nD1.4600; highly irritating and corrosive, can burn the skin, irritate mucous membranes, and corrode metals. Soluble in water, decomposing violently to form elvyisuan and hydrogen chloride; soluble in most organic solvents but decomposed by lower alcohols.

Uses: An excellent acylating agent and organic synthesis raw material, widely used in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, pesticides, and fine chemical products. In pharmaceuticals, dichloroacetyl chloride is a raw material for synthesizing new antibiotics; in pesticides, it is used to synthesize the high-efficiency, low-toxicity herbicide "oxyfluorfen" and safeners (also called antidotes) for amide herbicides; dichloroacetyl chloride is also used to synthesize halogenated cyclobutanones and tetramethyl chrysanthemic acid.

Packaging and storage: 200-liter reinforced polypropylene plastic drums or 100-liter reinforced polypropylene drums, packaging 250Kg and 120Kg respectively. Drum lids are tightly sealed with no leaks; handle with care during loading and unloading, avoid impact to prevent packaging damage; store in a ventilated, dry warehouse, keep away from water.
