I. Overview

This instrument is developed and produced in accordance with documents such as JJG622-1997 Verification Regulation for Insulation Resistance Meters, JJG1005-2005 Verification Regulation for Electronic Insulation Resistance Meters, JJG690-2000 High Insulation Resistance (High Resistance Meter) Measuring Instruments, and JJG1072-2011 Verification Regulation for DC High-Voltage High-Value Resistors. The instrument features independent leakage terminals and grounding terminals. It can be used to calibrate various models of imported and domestic analog and electronic insulation resistance meters, as well as insulation resistance testers. It measures the open-circuit voltage, median voltage, and peak voltage of insulation resistance meters. To broaden its application scope, the device partially meets the needs for calibrating high resistance meters by adding resistance output terminals and voltage measurement terminals for high resistance meter calibration, and expanding the resistance measurement range. It can also serve as a DC standard high-value resistor. It has a long technical and mechanical lifespan.

5. Insulation Resistance

The insulation resistance between the resistance output circuit of the calibration device and any other external metal without electrical connection shall be no less than 1GΩ when measured at the rated voltage.

6. Dielectric Strength

The circuit of the resistance output section in the calibration device and the reference grounding point for testing should withstand an actual sinusoidal AC voltage of 6.75kV at a frequency of 45–65Hz for 1 minute without breakdown or flashover.
