- Galvanizing Process

- Hot-dip galvanizing: The steel pipe is immersed in molten zinc to form a thick zinc layer on its surface. The hot-dip zinc layer has strong adhesion and excellent corrosion resistance, with a thickness ranging from tens to hundreds of micrometers, making it suitable for environments with high corrosion resistance requirements.

- Cold galvanizing: A zinc layer is applied to the surface of the steel pipe through electroplating or spraying. The cold galvanized layer is relatively thin, typically between a few to tens of micrometers, offering high production efficiency and lower cost, but its corrosion resistance is inferior to hot-dip galvanizing.

- Strong corrosion resistance: The zinc layer effectively prevents the steel pipe from rusting, extending its service life, and allows use in corrosive environments such as humidity, acids, and alkalis.

- High mechanical strength: The steel pipe itself has high strength and hardness, capable of withstanding certain compression, tensile, and bending stresses without deformation, protecting internal wires and cables from damage.

- Good insulation performance: The steel pipe is a good insulator, and the zinc layer also provides certain insulation properties, effectively preventing wire leakage and short circuits.

- Excellent fire resistance: Steel is a non-combustible material, and galvanized steel conduit offers good fire resistance, delaying the spread of fire and protecting the safety of wires and cables during a fire.

- Easy installation: Galvanized steel conduit is lightweight, easy to transport and install, and can be connected via threading, welding, coupling, and other methods, ensuring high construction efficiency.

- Specifications: Common specifications include DN15, DN20, DN25, DN32, DN40, DN50, etc., with outer diameters ranging from 15mm to 150mm and various wall thicknesses, allowing selection based on different usage scenarios and wiring requirements.

- Applications: Widely used in electrical installation projects in industrial and civil buildings, power, communication, transportation, and other fields, such as wiring in buildings, electrical circuit protection in factory workshops, and streetlight cable protection. Particularly suitable for locations with high requirements for wire and cable protection and harsh environments.

- Installation precautions: During installation, avoid excessive bending or stretching of the steel pipe to prevent damage to the zinc layer; ensure tight sealing at connection points to prevent rainwater, dust, etc., from entering the pipe; when passing through expansion joints or settlement joints in buildings, appropriate compensation measures should be taken.
