(1) When using cable trays for indoor wiring, the cables should not have jute or other flammable material outer sheaths.

(2) In corrosive or particularly humid environments where cable trays are used for wiring, appropriate protective measures should be taken based on the specific corrosive medium, and plastic-sheathed cables are preferred.

(3) The height from the ground for horizontally installed cable trays (baskets) should generally not be less than 2.50m. For vertical installation, sections below 1.80m from the ground should be protected with metal covers, except when installed in dedicated electrical rooms (such as distribution rooms, electrical shafts, technical floors, etc.).

(4) When horizontally installing cable trays, the optimal span for support should be selected based on the load curve, with spans typically ranging from 1.5 to 3m. For vertical installation, the spacing between fixed points should not exceed 2m.

(5) When multiple sets of cable trays are installed in parallel at the same height, maintenance and inspection distances should be considered between adjacent cable trays.

(6) Cables can be laid without spacing on cable trays. The fill rate of the cable cross-section within the tray should not exceed 40% for power cables and 50% for control cables.

(7) Cables of different voltages and purposes should not be laid on the same layer of the tray:

1) Cables above 1kV and below 1kV.

2) Dual power supply cables for the same path serving primary loads.

3) Emergency lighting and other lighting cables.

4) Power and weak current cables.

If installation on the same layer is necessary due to constraints, partitions should be used to separate them.

(8) When cable trays run parallel or cross with various pipelines, the minimum clear distance should comply with the provisions of Table DQ4-1.

(9) Cable trays should not be installed above corrosive gas pipelines and thermal pipelines or below corrosive liquid pipelines. Otherwise, anti-corrosion and insulation measures should be taken.

(10) Cables within the cable tray should be fixed at the following locations: for vertical installation, at the top end and every 1.50–2m; for horizontal installation, at both ends, turns, and every 5–10m.
