The design reference standards for air-type busways:

The standard implemented for air-type busways is: GB7251.2-1997 "Low-voltage switchgear and controlgear assemblies - Part 2: Particular requirements for busbar trunking systems (busways)" (this standard is equivalent to the IEC60439-2 standard). The industry standards implemented are: JB8511-1996 "Air-insulated busbar trunking systems" (air-insulated busways) and JB/T9662-1999 "Close-insulated busbar trunking systems" (close-insulated busways). These two standards, based on the requirements for the safety performance of electrical products, add specific clauses and requirements on the basis of national standards, providing a basis for the safety and reliability of busway products.

Busbar trunking systems (busways) have been included in IEC standards, and various countries have corresponding standards, such as: the American UL standard, Canadian CSA standard, British BS standard, Japanese JIS standard, etc. These standards play an important role in regulating the design and testing basis of busway products.
