Cast iron ground rails have garnered significant attention, but do you truly understand the casting process?
The entire processing and grinding process of cast iron ground rails must be completed in a constant temperature room. For cast iron ground rails requiring high precision, they must be placed in the constant temperature room for 5-7 days until they exhibit no deformation or elasticity to be deemed qualified. The processing of cast iron ground rails in the constant temperature room involves the following steps: First, rough grinding is performed on the cast iron ground rails to achieve the required thickness and flatness standards. After rough grinding, the cast iron ground rails undergo secondary semi-fine grinding, which aims to remove deeper scratches and achieve the standard flatness.
Preparation for the melting process of cast iron ground rails: The circulating water for the cold electric furnace must be turned on first. Depending on the condition of the furnace, timely repairs, baking, and maintenance of the ladle are carried out. Raw material collection, alloy crushing, weighing, and other tasks are completed to prepare for cast iron ground rail production. According to the "Electric Furnace Equipment Management Card," inspect all equipment of the iron ground rail electric furnace to promptly identify and resolve faults. Check whether the pre-furnace thermal analyzer, temperature measurement devices, platform scales, and other equipment are functioning properly.
Feed materials in the order specified by the cast iron ground rail process. Each batch of materials must follow the "Pre-Furnace Batching List." Materials prohibited from entering the furnace must comply with the "Medium Frequency Induction Furnace Melting Prohibited Materials Specification." After the molten iron in the furnace begins to churn, cut off the power, use slagging agents, skim slag, and prepare pre-furnace thermal analysis samples and spectroscopic samples. Once the chemical composition of the molten iron is confirmed to meet requirements, adjustments are made in the furnace, and samples are retested until they qualify.
During mold making, the temperature of the cast iron ground rail wax material should be strictly controlled between 48–52°C, with an injection pressure of 0.2–0.6 MPa. Before assembling the cast iron ground rail mold, carefully inspect and clean the parting surface, and ensure the mold is tightly locked. Reduce the roughness of the mold parting surface and improve its manufacturing quality to ensure the flatness and roughness of the cast iron ground rail parting surface meet the drawing requirements. Establish a reasonable service life for the mold, strengthen pre-use inspections, promptly repair any issues, and ensure the cast iron ground rail mold remains in qualified condition. Improve the mold design and select appropriate materials to enhance the stiffness of the cast iron ground rail mold. Adjust the locking positions if necessary to ensure mold quality.
Fine grinding of the plate surface aims to further refine the flatness achieved during semi-fine grinding to achieve the required precision. The finely ground cast iron ground rails with precision undergo manual precision grinding, which further refines the accuracy to meet the required standards. After precision grinding, the cast iron ground rails that meet the standard precision are polished. The polished surface is smooth, highly wear-resistant, and has low surface roughness, ensuring both the accuracy and aesthetic appearance of the cast iron ground rails.
Temperature measurement and tapping: The ladle must be preheated. Measure the temperature of the molten iron, and if suitable, proceed with tapping. Use silicon particles or large ladle inoculants for inoculation during tapping. Perform secondary slag skimming, add insulating cover agents, and pour out a small amount of molten iron from the ladle spout. Inspection of the cast iron ground rail pouring triangular white mouth platform equipment: Before each shift, conduct spot checks on the sand shooting machine, turnover machine, mold closing machine, and other equipment and components used in the process to promptly identify issues. Inspection of molds: Check the integrity of the cast iron ground rail molds used during the shift, including whether the pins and sleeves on the molds are tight and worn, and whether the cast inscriptions and date codes on the cast iron ground rail models are accurate and complete.
Cast iron ground rail material: HT200-300 high-strength gray cast iron, ductile iron, or cast steel. When designing cast iron ground rails, fully consider both dynamic and static loads to ensure the structure meets the dynamic load requirements of testing. Large cast iron ground rails can be spliced. We provide reasonable drawings and installation designs.
