Used as emulsifier in the food industry for beverages, milk candy, ice cream, bread, pastries, malted milk, margarine, chocolate, etc.; as antistatic agent for acrylic fibers and component of softening oiling agent in the textile industry; as emulsifier and stabilizer in food, pesticides, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, coatings, and plastics industries; used as antifogging agent for PVC, EVA, PE, etc. films, with usage of 1.5–1.8% in PVC and 0.7–1% in EVA. | S-80 | 1. Hardly soluble in water, soluble in hot oil and organic solvents; high-grade lipophilic emulsifier. 2. Used in W/O emulsion explosives, nylon and viscose tire cord oiling agent, providing good smoothing effect on fibers; used in emulsification for machinery, coatings, chemicals, and explosives; as emulsifier in oil drilling weighted mud; as emulsifier in food and cosmetics production; as dispersant in paint and coatings industry; as stabilizer in titanium dioxide production; as insecticide, wetting agent, and emulsifier in pesticide production; as cosolvent in petroleum products; also as rust inhibitor in antirust oil; used as lubricant and softener in textiles and leather. 3. As film antifogging agent, with good initial and low-temperature antifogging properties, usage of 1–1.5% in PVC and 0.5–0.7% in polyolefins. | S-85 | 1. Slightly soluble in isopropanol, tetrachloroethylene, cottonseed oil, etc. 2.
