1. Analysis Specifications

▲1) Complies with the monitoring specifications and requirements for algae and zooplankton as stipulated in "Technical Guidelines for Water Ecological Monitoring - Monitoring and Evaluation of River Aquatic Organisms (Trial)" HJ 1295-2023, "Technical Guidelines for Water Ecological Monitoring - Monitoring and Evaluation of Lake and Reservoir Aquatic Organisms (Trial)" HJ 1296-2023, "Specifications for Oceanographic Monitoring" GB17378-2007, "Specifications for Oceanographic Survey" GB/T12763-2007, as well as HJ 1216-2021 "Determination of Phytoplankton in Water Quality - 0.1mL Counting Chamber-Microscopic Counting Method" and HJ 1215-2021 "Determination of Phytoplankton in Water Quality - Filter Membrane-Microscopic Counting Method". After pre-treatment, water samples are placed in counting chambers, and the entire process of algae and zooplankton identification, classification, and counting analysis is automated with a single click (automatic movement of field of view for focusing, scanning, and imaging; automatic classification, identification, and counting; automatic generation of statistical reports).

2) Mimics the manual microscopic detection process for algae, supporting automatic imaging, classification, and counting using five counting methods: whole slide counting, diagonal counting, row counting, random field counting, etc.

2. Automatic Classification and Counting of Algae and Zooplankton

▲1) Imaging throughput: 4 units of 0.1mL algae counting chambers or 4 units of 1mL zooplankton counting chambers or 4 units of 5mL zooplankton counting chambers. The automatic focusing and imaging time for 4 units of 0.1mL algae counting chambers is ≤10 minutes (20X objective, 100 fields of view each, high-resolution camera above 20 megapixels; capable of simultaneously testing 2 sets of parallel samples). Imaging supports full series of objectives including 40X, 20X, etc. Features continuous automatic scanning with no less than 20 layers of depth-of-field fusion; the number of imaging layers and inter-layer spacing are adjustable. Capable of automatically and seamlessly stitching over 400 imaging fields into an ultra-wide field image exceeding 3 billion pixels, effectively avoiding the cutting of algae or zooplankton at the edges of fields of view. The motorized XYZ microscopic automatic stage is produced by a company certified with the ISO13485 quality management system.

▲2) The system includes an automatic classification and identification database for over 200 genera of common freshwater algae and over 80 genera of marine algae. Users can deselect algal genera not present locally from the identification database to ensure maximum identification coverage while effectively avoiding confusion and misjudgment. Includes an automatic classification and identification database for over 70 major groups or genera of freshwater zooplankton. Capable of exporting large TIFF images with identification markers. Supports historical data analysis for the same location.

▲3) Users can self-learn and expand the identification database species based on local water samples. Supports online updates of the identification database.

4) A fully automatic identification and analysis system that generates reports directly with a single click. Capable of automatically classifying and analyzing algae ranging from 3 to 1000μm; the automatic identification and analysis time for 4 algae counting chambers with 100 fields of view each is ≤20 minutes; detection range is 10^4 to 1.25*10^11 cells/L. Capable of automatically classifying and analyzing zooplankton ranging from 20 to 2000μm; the automatic scanning imaging + automatic stitching of ultra-wide field images + automatic analysis time for 4 units of 1mL zooplankton counting chambers is approximately 40 minutes (number of fields of view is selectable). The relative deviation of counting results for two parallel samples is ≤10%. The automatic identification rate for dominant species in local water samples is ≥90%, with a comprehensive automatic identification rate ≥80%. Targets can be multi-selected for rapid interactive correction after automatic sorting by shape or area to achieve a higher final identification rate.

3. Intelligent Identification System for Algae and Zooplankton

▲1) Bilingual (Chinese and Latin) expert plankton image database: algae cover 15 phyla, over 1718 genera, and over 15,880 species; zooplankton cover 26 major groups, over 2000 genera, and over 9850 species. Covers common algae and zooplankton in various river basins and sea areas of China. The existing effective image database for identification and comparison contains over 294,000 images.

▲2) With a single click, performs image-based search to display similar species ranked from highest to lowest similarity. Capable of image-based search for identifying copepods by P5 thoracic legs. The intelligent species identification module and the fully automatic classification and counting system are products of the same company, enabling seamless and convenient operation between systems. Capable of intelligent image-based search for identifying algae, zooplankton, as well as non-planktonic organisms such as pollen and fungi that may appear in samples.
