I. Purpose

Used for plant annual ring analysis, tree disc area analysis, etc.

II. Main Technical Specifications

1. Equipped with a Microtek FileScan 1860XL plus high-speed scanner with an optical resolution of 3600 dpi × 1800 dpi and A3 size. Maximum analysis and measurement area: 431.8 mm × 301 mm.

2. Plant Annual Ring Measurement and Analysis:

（1）Can automatically interpret the number of annual rings, average width of each annual ring, earlywood and latewood width, tangential angle and area of each annual ring. Can automatically delineate annual ring boundaries, earlywood boundaries, and latewood boundaries, and identify very narrow tree rings. Allows interactive deletion of false annual rings and insertion of missing annual rings.

（2）Can automatically generate internationally standardized analysis chronologies. The measured data obtained from analysis can be further used for cross-dating and data analysis processing.

（3）Features [Temporary Storage] and [Loading] of annual ring graph data for future continuous analysis and comparison.

（4）Has the "software stereoscope" feature for [Fine] analysis. Includes [Snap] positioning for path endpoints, allowing unsatisfactory analysis paths to be disconnected, deleted, added, and edited. Analysis result graphs can be saved.

（5）Angle adjustment on the graph has a follow feature. Path drawing can be [Canceled] or [Deleted]. Can directly analyze annual ring images with ultra-high precision scans up to 1 GB. Capable of automatically analyzing extremely fine annual rings with widths < 0.2 mm.

（6）Can calculate the total area of the tree disc. Can save or read images in standard formats such as TIFF, BMP, PNG, and JPEG.

3. The system includes a calibration function, with separate calibration corrections for the X and Y directions. Features a follow magnifier for precise measurement via mouse dragging. Images can be zoomed in/out and viewed locally, with mouse area selection for statistics. Analysis images, distribution maps, and result data can be saved. Analysis results can be exported to Excel sheets, and analysis marked images can be output.
