Ceramic Raschig Ring Packing

Ceramic Raschig Rings (also known as porcelain Raschig rings, ceramic Raschig rings, etc.) are primarily made from local high-alumina, low-iron clay, with the addition of specific amounts of Hunan Jiepai clay, feldspar, quartz, forming aids, and release agents. Through a series of suitable production processes including raw material preparation, ball milling, sieving, iron removal, vacuum pugging, forming, drying, and firing, they are processed into an aluminum silicate tower packing. The product features uniform color, dense porcelain texture, high-temperature resistance, and excellent thermal shock resistance. It possesses outstanding resistance to chemical corrosion. Except for hydrofluoric acid or strong concentrated alkalis, it can withstand all inorganic acids, organic acids, and all neutral and acidic gases. Key material indicators of the product include: acid resistance ≥99.8%, alkali resistance ≥86%, temperature resistance ≥1350°C, and Mohs hardness ≥6.5. The chemical composition of the product consists of aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) 18–28%, silicon dioxide (SiO₂) 68–72%, iron oxide (Fe₂O₃) ≤1.0%, and thermal shock resistance: no cracking after three cycles of air cooling from 130°C to room temperature. When the chemical composition ratio of SiO₂ to Al₂O₃ is 3:1, the ceramic product exhibits excellent acid and alkali resistance, strength, temperature resistance, and other properties. The main principle is: using quartz and mullite as the primary crystalline phases, with feldspar glass and kaolin sintered body as structural bridges, leveraging the mechanical strength, temperature resistance, wear resistance, airflow impact resistance, and strong acid and alkali resistance of the kaolin sintered body and quartz crystals. The product is densely sintered with low chemical activity, ensuring long-term durability.
