Songhuafen Pine Pollen This product is the dried pollen of Pinus yunnanensis, Pinus massoniana Lamb., Pinus tabulaeformis Carr., or several other plants of the same genus in the family Pinaceae. 【Preparation】 Collect pine branches with flowers 4-5 days before blooming. When the pine flowers naturally bloom, gently tap the branches with a wooden stick to collect the pollen. After collection, it is processed through screening, cleaning, sterilization, and wall-breaking. 【Characteristics】 This product is a fine, pale yellow powder. It is lightweight, easily dispersible, flows well, and feels smooth when rubbed between fingers. It has a slight odor, a mild taste, with the fragrance of pine nuts and no off-flavors. 【Identification】 Under microscopic observation: Pollen grains are elliptical, 45–55 μm in length and 29–40 μm in diameter, with a smooth surface.
