Potassium formate is an organic salt with the chemical formula HCOOK. It appears as a white solid, is highly hygroscopic, and possesses reducing properties. It can react with strong oxidizing agents. Its density is 1.9100 g/cm³, and it is highly soluble in water. It is non-toxic and non-corrosive. Its aqueous solution is a colorless transparent liquid, and the specific gravity of the saturated solution is 1.58 g/cm³.

Main Applications

Agricultural Use: In agriculture, potassium formate is primarily used to produce foliar fertilizers. It contains potassium, which plants can quickly absorb through foliar spraying, thereby improving photosynthesis efficiency, increasing leaf thickness and greenness, and ultimately enhancing yield and quality.
